From 2003 - 2006, EcoWeeks were run by the ATE Trust, an educational charity which runs a programme of Superweek residential holidays for 8-16 year olds.
Since 2007, EcoWeeks have been run by the EcoWeek Trust. This reflects the specialist nature of EcoWeeks, which don't fit easily into the main ATE programme.
The EcoWeek Trust is non-profit-making educational trust. We have not registered as a charity; the benefits are marginal at best and the regulatory and administrative overhead of charitable status is enormous for a small organisation.
The EcoWeek board of trustees is currently as follows:
Dr Ian Johnston (Open University Lecturer - Secretary)
Ms Deirdre Raffan (former CAT Education Officer)
Ms Helen Fenby (Farm Shop Manager at Loch Arthur Community)
Mr Umesh Patel, CEng (Delivery Manager, Orange)
Please note that all trustees are individuals - affiliations are given to illustrate the breadth of background represented.
